Bookbytes is a collection of book reviews written by friends and partners-in-crime, Marie and Rache for those who take their reading as seriously (or less) than they do. The reviews might border on the ridiculous, but the opinions expressed are hardcore. You can expect to see a wide variety of books from all kinds of different genres and reading levels here. They are avid readers, and from mysteries to romances to sci-fi, from kids to young adult to adult, bookbytes is ready to gobble it up (pun intended) only to regurgitate it in order to tell you if it's any good or not! Or, more precisely, if they liked it or not. It may not appear too be the most appetizing of ideas, but we promise it'll be a lot more tasty than it sounds.
So sit down, buckle up, and prepare to take a walk on reading rainbow with the reviews of bookbytes!
DE Doodles is an evil with a side of silly mini-comic for fans of the bad guys in the Harry Potter universe, also known as Death Eaters. The bad guys, not the fans. The fans just prefer to be called fans as far as we know. After running away from home, the rebel web comic without a clue spent a lot of time hitchhiking across the web. It eventually found it's way to the weblog corner of the net where it attempted to make a life for itself. After a brief stint on livejournal, it was kindly adopted by late night productions. DE Doodles now makes it's home in a little penthouse apartment, sipping strawberry banana smoothies by the pool as the Spice Girls play softly over the radio. It would like to take this time to thank all of the little people in it's life that made this all possible...
No one comes to mind at the moment, but DE Doodles is sure that you know who you are.
What is all of this? If you're asking that question then you haven't been to HPRPG.NET. late nights at hprpg.net began life as a little animated comic strip of sorts that was conceived when an RP forum had gone down while being modified, and they lost everything. late nights started it's rather unexpected existence as an animated gif file. It consisted of modified little yellow smilies with color coded hair bows that represented different people (yes, real people... with the occasional RP character thrown in for flavor) from the board. It slowly grew into a weekly assignment when Marie posted them on the board for others to see and my creation got a warm reception. This little comic was the original late night production and helped to inspire the creation and incorporation of this production company. It gets all the blame.
The misadventures of Shmae! Here is where you will find the interesting, daring, confusing, and often times odd adventures Shmae creates for themselves and any friends they might be able to drag into it with them. Experiments. Formerly employed periments that retired with a nice pension after giving 35 years of their life to peri and all that he ment. They are also the times in which Shmae have had too much sugar, too little sleep, too much time on our hands, or too little constructive busy work to satisfy themselves. But their attention deficit, hyperactive, insomniac disorder is your gain. They give you the fruits of their looms, and the experiments in which they risk not only their lives and journalistic integrity, but we also waste some money and time that they will never get back. All for you. Yes, you. I love you. No, not you - the other guy. Yeah, you. Call me.
This website is dedicated to the almost published works of M. K. Marshall. At this point in time one book is being edited in preparation for self-publication, and the sequel is in planning stages. The main focus of this site is a video blog that Marie was inspired to create in order to document her progress as a writer, and because it is what she does. Marie has decided to self-publish her works for two reasons. The first is that she works for a church and so obviously cannot afford an agent, and the second is that she doesn't care how many people read her book as long as someone does. Any and all are invited to follow the progress in the hopes that more than just her friends and family will purchase and read the book. These people will do it out of a sense of obligation as they know her and/or are related to her. She is hoping you will do it for the same reason. And because you might find the book interesting.
