11.05.2011: No, I haven't died.

And I have been dolling... sort of.

Work has been eating my soul (haha - it's funny if you know where I work), but it should be getting better here soon. Which does mean more time for actual dolling. And updating here. Which I know I need to do. This whole place needs an overhaul. New layout, everything. Maybe I will get to that over Thanksgiving.

IN THE MEAN TIME. I am doing minor adjustments and updating with some dolls, an award, and random stuff so you know that I really do still love you. <3

04.09.2011: I guess I should update, huh?

And I had been doing SO GOOD! Jiminey. Oh well. Here I am now! :D

I have been dolling, actually. In fact - I have been pixeling and even made a base! GASP! I know!! Of course, it's all been for sale. See - I am trying to help a friend of mine buy a cross-country plane ticket this summer, so I have been doing everything I can to help off set the $800 ticket. Which includes selling dolls and pixels to people who make blinkies and other graphics. So that's what I have been focusing on mostly. That and my chainmaille jewelry. Which you all should totally go check out at Tipically Lackadaisycal. Just saying.

So anyway. I just have a couple of dolls - I think all of them were for forum challenges or requests. I also have a couple of awards I need to put up as well as soon as I can find where I saved them. Hmmm...

02.02.11: Challenges and Animation

Look at me honoring my challenges! I met my January quota of one doll, and I am halfway through my February quota of two. I actually did more than on in January, but they were gifts and I don't think they should count. At least not this early in the game.

I did more pixels! I have noticed that I am adopting a holiday theme. But whatever keeps me motivated, right? I have also gotten into a little bit of an animation kick. I used to animate my own comic way back in the day, but I haven't had a lot of time to do it for a while. So my couple of dolls with the animation is a lot of fun. Do I miss it enough to go back to animating my own comic again? Mmmm, no.

01.19.11: I Can Has New Layout?

Yes, I realize that it is still January, but you know what? I like green. And I wanted a new layout, so I am going to pretend that it's not still sort of winterish outside for me and enjoy my pretty new layout. So there.

Courtesy of a challenge at Backstage Lounge, I have undertaken a new task to get my muse in working order. Every month I will create a the number of dolls (that is not for a specific challenge or contest) that corresponds to the numerical value of that month. Which means, in January I will do one doll, February will be two, March will be three, etc. When we get into April through December, I might be wanting to kick my own butt, but hey. I never said how big the dolls have to be.

I am also on the more doll sites bandwagon. In order to help keep the movement of reviving doll sites going, I have two and a half offers for people who happen to visit my site.

1. If you want a site that's not on a free server, hit me up and I might have some free hosting on a sub for you. Conditions do apply. (like you have to actually maintain the site, for one). Shoot me a message that tells me about yourself and why I should give you free hosting.

2. Have a design but can't be bothered to code it? Shoot it to me, and I will code it for you. I work in div layers and CSS, not tables. I won't offer tech support. I will code it and send it to you, the rest is up to you.

3. Don't have a design and want one? Let me know, and we MIGHT be able to work something out in an art trade sort of way. I can put together a basic site for you so you at least have something to start with. Right?

And that is my contribution to getting doll sites back up and kicking. Thank you.

12.29.10: Merry Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS! I can still say that because it is only the FOURTH day of Christmas. That's right - those pesky 12 Days you keep hearing sung about? They FOLLOW Christmas. The days leading up to it are Advent, you silly goose! And January 6th is the Feast of the Epiphany and end the Christmas Season. Thus ends your liturgical calendaring lesson.

I am here to update. Yes. I have two dolls and just a handful of pixels - sorry. I have not had a lot of time or inspiration for dolling. Though I have recently joined the staff of Backstage Lounge. If you were a member of Fractured Fairytales and loved and miss it, then you will definitely want to be a part of BSL. There are a lot of the same names and faces around. LOVE IT. And you should to. Anyway. I hope to get back into my at least monthly updates around here. As well as a new layout. That is on my list...

10.23.10: another update

Two updates in one month? GASP! I know!

Bunch of new dolls and some pixels this round. I want to redo the design here for the holidays, so I might be working on that the next couple of weeks. Al thought I am still in love with that doll up there that my Pudi Love made.

10.04.10: I live!

So September turns out to be a really crappy month for me to do anything other than work and sleep.

All of my new dolls (I say new, but they are over a month old) are for my dolling project that got abandoned over at Goosed! because I had to take a LOA for work. Hopefully I can get back over there and we can start reviving the place because I kind of love it there. And more people should come and play so that it stays active.

On the pixel front, I have begun to teach myself to pixel small objects. I am crap at the shading, but I am learning and there are a handful of pieces that I am fairly proud of. They are up under their own new link called, appropriately enough, Pixels. Fun, huh? I also need to crack down and start updating the Doll Contest Bulletin Board. Roar. I should have put up a brief hiatus message last month - OH WELLS!
